Welcome to my genealogy web site! Many hours of work have been put into the research and documentation of these ancestors. I hope you will benefit from the information I present here. This genealogy information shows some of the family lines of Jan Smit from Delft in the Netherlands, who came to South Africa in 1686 and Wilhelm Odendall who arrived in South Africa from Keulen in Germany in 1709. The slave trade of the seventeenth century also had an influence when Wilhelm married the daughter of Diana, a slave girl from Madagascar.
